Privacy policy

The privacy of our visitors is important to us.

In general, you can visit us on the Internet without telling us who you are or giving us personal information. There are times when we may need information from you, for instance: to deliver trial products, to process an order, to correspond, or to provide a subscription. We may supplement this information to complete a transaction or to provide better service.

We recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. Here is information on what types of personal information we receive and collect when you use and visit this website, and how we safeguard your information. We never sell your personal information to third parties.

Registration keys

We connect each of our customers (and their personal information) using a registration key which allows us to make sure that the customer is still in his free-of-charge support/update period, so we can activate a download link, for example.

Log files

As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in log files (e.g., via Google Analytics). The information in the log files include, for example, your IP (internet protocol) address and hostname, network bandwidth, your network location (e.g., country, city, region, or any other geographic data), your ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL or Shaw Cable), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), JavaScript and Flash version, screen resolution, operating system, screen color processing abilities, referring site statistics (website/URI you came from or search engine query used), the time you visited our site, and which pages you visited throughout our site, including the time spent on each page.

This data is primarily used to optimize products and our website for our visitors, however we may also use it for marketing purposes (e.g., tell third parties how many visitors we get on our website and/or which countries our visitors come from). This data does NOT contain any personalized identification information such as names, phone numbers, email or mailing addresses, social security numbers, credit card information, or bank account numbers.

Additionally, we log every file download, so we can prevent abuse and suspend an account in case there are too many downloads in a short time period.

Cookies and web beacons

We use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit our site. This could include the ability to login to some of our features.

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies (e.g., in your browser settings). However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into accounts or downloading software.

Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.
